Trading grinds to a halt across many CME markets after a 'cooling issue' at a data center

Trading across the majority of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's markets ground to a halt on Friday after a cooling problem at one of its data centers. "Due to a cooling issue at CyrusOne data centers, our markets are currently halted," CME Group posted on X, adding that it was "working to resolve" the problem. The group posted later Friday that "BrokerTec EU markets are open and trading," but all of its other markets "remain halted." BrokerTec EU markets are open and trading.
