We've been asking for more pink. It's no surprise Barbie is the one to give it to us. No matter how old we are, we still get giddy at the sight of Barbie-branded collaborations on our favorite products. Everything is just better with a pink coat of paint and a giant Barbie logo sprawled across. That's a fact.

Barbie collaborations aren't anything new, but the hype around Greta Gerwig's Barbie means everything pink is in. Miss Barbara Millicent “Barbie” Roberts has got a whole new set of goodies for kids and adults alike to enjoy, from hairdryers and Polaroids to phone cases and roller skates. I'm a big fan of Sonix phone cases. I had the Illusion phone case on my iPhone 13 for almost two years and it still looked brand new even after a number of drops (oops). Naturally, I was happy to slap on another Sonix case to my iPhone 14 Pro Max—especially a Barbie one!
The Vintage Barbie case features black and white zig-zag stripes resembling the same bathing suit pattern on the first-ever Barbie doll. In one of Barbie's teaser trailers that made me scream, Ken pulls out a pair of bright yellow plastic roller skates and declares, “I literally go nowhere without them!” After obtaining a pair of the official inline skates Impala made for the movie, I agree. Disclosure: I already own a pair of Impala quad skates that are of dubious build quality. The skate plates on the bottom were drilled in crooked out of the box, so I had a tendency to drift sideways until those were repaired.
The inlines, however, are awesome. They fit true to size and the boots are well-padded. After several days of blacktop skating, I don’t have bruises on my feet or shins. The 84A hardness feels fantastic on asphalt and you also have the option to switch to bigger wheels if you’re staying outside. I do have to warn you—cars stopped to look at these highlighter-colored skates, so these are not for the meek! Just buy yourself a pair of tiny retro track shorts to go to your next skate disco night and roll (hah!) with it. —Adrienne So

A Large Tote Bag

I've owned my yellow Kipling crossbody bag for years and it's still in great condition, so the Kipling Art Barbie Tote Bag was a no-brainer. It's a more comfortable alternative to my current travel duffel bag, plus it's way cuter. The exterior is a perfect shade of bright pink (with a glossy lacquered coating that makes it pop), and the inside is lined with an adorable Barbie-themed print with the signature logo and images of different dolls. The nylon material is lightweight and water-resistant.
Most importantly, it's extremely roomy. I used it on a recent trip to the shore and managed to pack a week's worth of clothes without overstuffing the bag. The zippers on the outside let you expand and contract it depending on how much space you need. The dual handles make it easy to carry without weighing down your shoulders, and there's a luggage passthrough strap, so you can slide it over your carry-on's collapsible handle. You've likely seen Moon toothbrushes floating around your social media feeds. This is the same sonic brush but with a pink makeover. It cleaned my teeth well and has a two-minute timer with 30-second intervals to ensure you're brushing for the right length of time. There are five brushing modes to choose from, but I didn't feel much of a difference between them. The price is comparable to other electric toothbrushes we've tested, and it comes with two brush heads and a matching travel case. Thanks to Retrospekt, a vintage-product restoration company, we can take pictures like it's 1999 with the Barbie Polaroid 600 made from refurbished Polaroid parts. It's a slightly updated version of the original instant camera from the very same year. Pair it with 600 film and it'll work just like you remember. There's a Malibu Barbie version too. It dips in and out of stock, so keep a close eye and use the company's “Notify When Available” feature to nab it.

An Oversize Pool Float

Funboy lives up to its name with incredibly fun pool floats. The Barbie line includes inflatable golf carts and the cutest pink clear swan. I don't think my neighbors would be happy if I floated around our shared apartment pool in a giant speedboat, so I tried the classic tube instead. It's still oversize, but not as obnoxious.
If you're used to cheap floats like I was, you'll notice the upgrade in quality. It's large enough for an adult to comfortably lounge on, and has a drink holder. I recommend getting a pump too (or using Funboy's DIY recommendations) to fill it up quickly. The valve is large, and my lungs were no match for it. —Medea Giordano

I’m not usually a fan of sour flavors, but this slightly carbonated beverage strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tart. I’m trying to cut out sugary high-calorie drinks, and several times during testing, I’ve found myself reaching for a can of Swoon instead of a Coke. Barbie's hair is always flawless and now yours can be too. You'd think steaming your hair would only make it frizzy, but steam straighteners actually add moisture to your locks as you go. They release the right amount of steam as you pass a section through the plates, so hair gets smooth, not wet. Use it like you normally would use a straightener, and don't hold it on your hair longer than a typical pass.
L'Oreal's Steampod has a comb attachment too, though I usually skipped it. I find comb attachments pull my curls too much. It's heavier and bulkier than typical flat irons because it needs room for the water and heating mechanism, but it's not unwieldy (still lighter than Dyson's Corrale). If you're always on the go or are short on bathroom space, these mini hair tools are handy (6/10, WIRED Review). The hair dryer folds up when not in use and the flat iron has tiny 3/4-inch plates; they don't take up much room.
They're a little bit more fashionable than functional for my thick, coarse hair—if your hair is easy to manage, you might have a better time. The dryer doesn't have separate heat and speed settings. Instead, medium speed comes with medium heat, and high speed comes with high heat. The straightener only has one heat setting at 382 degrees. —Medea Giordano
